This textbook is huge and contains enormous amounts of valuable information. The depth, illustrations and graphics are excellent. Equally I obtained a study guide from teaching solutions dot org / NCLEX RN review and I like the fact that it has questions after each chapter which helped to reinforce what was learned. Loved how quickly it got to me, very efficient.

easy to understand

This study guide is a must have for anyone that is preparing for the NCLEX. It is well written, easy to understand, and is organized really well. I like that the guide is broken up in sections because I know that I don't have to read it from cover to cover to get the most out of it. Instead, I can just go to the Table of Contents and find the section that I want to focus on (in my case, Infectious Diseases) and go directly to it. This guide is also a 2016 edition, which was much newer than many of the other guides that I found when I was looking for a guide to purchase.
This guide also comes with the option of a bonus DVD, but I didn't order it because I didn't have time to do so before taking my exam. I still wanted to mention that, as it might be beneficial to others.
I also found all of their test taking strategies and "secrets" to be beneficial. There is a practice test included in this guide, as well. I felt a lot better after taking the practice test because I felt like I had a better idea of what to expect. I was happy to discover that the practice test questions were very similar to those on the actual exam!
I really feel like this study guide helped me pass the NCLEX and I would highly recommend it to others.

Not bad at all.

This was a pretty decent study guide. It is a little less than three hundred (300) pages, but every page is pretty chocked full of useful, relevant - to - the - exam information. I love that they include a section on common nursing abbreviations. A lot of times, when I am trying to help one of my clients understand a particular part of something in one of these guides -- especially the medically related ones -- they have so many abbreviations! And I do not know what they mean, so I have to go online and look them up, which can be really irritating because a lot of the abbreviations have more than one meaning if taken in a different context outside of the medical field. Trying to find the right one can be horribly time consuming.
This guide, however, breaks all of those things down for you, and it is WONDERFUL. I LOVE IT!
It also has some great practice tests at the end. I do not know off the top of my head (and I left the guide in the office at work, so I can't refer to it at the moment) but I am pretty sure that there were two full practice tests in the back of the book, and they were both really good and comprehensive practice tests.
I DID feel that some of the sections could be a bit more in-depth, which is why I rated it four stars instead of five, but overall, it was still a really great guide.
